At Waco Diamonds, we believe your engagement ring should last a lifetime—and so should the care behind it. That is why every eligible Waco Diamonds engagement ring includes one of the strongest lifetime warranties in Central Texas, backed by the trusted jewelers at San Jose Jewelers.

“Lifetime” refers to the lifetime ownership of the jewelry by the original purchaser. This warranty is non-transferable and valid while Waco Diamonds and/or its parent company, San Jose Jewelers, continues operating. Most services are performed in-house by San Jose Jewelers’ experienced jewelers. Certain specialty services may be outsourced. 

Waco Diamonds reserves the sole discretion to determine warranty eligibility following inspection. Waco Diamonds reserves the right to repair, restore, replace, or offer store credit for any approved warranty claim at its sole discretion.

Definition of Normal Wear and Tear

For purposes of the Waco Diamonds Lifetime Warranty, normal wear and tear refers to the natural, gradual effects of everyday use that occur when jewelry is worn under ordinary conditions and properly cared for. This includes routine wear that may naturally occur over time despite proper use and regular maintenance.

Normal wear and tear includes, but is not limited to, examples such as:

• Gradual loosening of prongs due to everyday wear
• Minor surface scratches or light scuffing on metal from daily use
• Natural metal wear that occurs over time from regular contact with skin, clothing, and common surfaces
• Minor shifting or loosening of accent stones caused by normal daily wear
• Standard wear to rhodium plating on white gold jewelry over time
• Normal polishing wear from regular professional maintenance

Normal wear and tear DOES NOT INCLUDE, and therefore is not covered under warranty, damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, or external force. Examples include, but are not limited to:

• Hard impacts, drops, or blunt force trauma. Examples include damage from slamming jewelry against hard surfaces, such as countertops, doors, or gym equipment.
• Bent, crushed, warped, or misshapen rings or settings
  
• Chips, cracks, or breaks in diamonds or gemstones caused by impact
• Damage caused by slamming jewelry against hard surfaces such as countertops, doors, or gym equipment
  
• Damage caused by chemicals, harsh cleaners, or corrosive substances
• Damage from fire, flooding, natural disasters, or other environmental events
• Loss, theft, or mysterious disappearance of jewelry or stones
• Damage caused by improper storage or failure to properly care for the jewelry
• Damage or alterations performed by any jeweler or repair provider not expressly authorized in writing by Waco Diamonds.

Waco Diamonds reserves the sole right to determine whether wear or damage qualifies as normal wear and tear after inspection by our jewelry professionals. Repairs involving substantial metal replacement, rebuilding of worn settings, or reconstruction due to long-term wear may require additional charges.

Definition of Manufacturing Defect

A manufacturing defect is a flaw in materials or workmanship present at the time of delivery, including issues such as defective casting, faulty solder joints, or improper stone setting. Manufacturing defects do not include damage caused by normal wear, accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, or external force.

What Is Not Covered Under Warranty:

The Waco Diamonds Lifetime Warranty does not cover lost, stolen, or damage by accidents, misuse, abuse, or external trauma. It only covers eligible Waco Diamonds jewelry against normal wear and tear.

Waco Diamonds Guaranteed Ring Fitment:

Complimentary resizing is limited to two resizes during your ownership, up to one full size up or down, where structurally possible. Certain styles, including eternity bands, tension settings, and heavily set pavé bands, may not be eligible. NOTE: This only applies to sterling silver, platinum silver, gold, and platinum rings. Specialty rings made from other metals, plated, or painted, may not be resized. This will be noted on product pages or during consultation at the time of purchase.

Lifetime Professional Cleaning And Polishing:

All cleaning and polishing is done by the San Jose Jewelers’ on-site jewelers. In most cases, cleaning services can be completed in less than 20 minutes. There is no limit on how often you can come in to have your jewelry professionally cleaned.

Please note that polishing metal does remove small amounts of metal from rings and jewelry. We will limit the number of times we polish jewelry during its lifetime to prolong its life. The cleaning services between polishings will include professional ultrasonic cleaning and steaming.

Lifetime Inspections:

These inspections are important for maintaining your warranty and keeping your jewelry looking amazing. To maintain your jewelry warranty, you must bring your jewelry in at least once every six months. For jewelry such as rings, we will inspect the ring for loose stones, examine the prongs under a powerful microscope, and look for signs of metal fatigue. 

While your jewelry is in for inspection, we will also provide complimentary cleaning services. Please note that these inspections can typically be completed in a few hours, but in some cases may require your jewelry to be left with Waco Diamonds for a full inspection.

A 30-day grace period applies to scheduled inspection intervals. Warranty benefits requiring inspection may be reinstated after a completed inspection, subject to Waco Diamonds confirming the absence of preexisting damage or risk conditions.

Lifetime Stone Loss Protection:

Waco Diamonds stands behind its lab-grown diamond engagement rings and wedding bands. Stone loss protection applies to eligible accent stones and center stones only when the setting shows no evidence of impact damage and all inspection requirements have been maintained.

Stone loss protection applies only when stone loss results from failure of the original setting under normal daily wear, as determined solely by Waco Diamonds after inspection.

Center stone replacement is limited to one approved claim during the original purchaser’s ownership of the ring.

Coverage applies only to moissanite stones and lab-grown diamonds weighing 4.0 carats or less.

To maintain stone loss protection, the ring must be brought to Waco Diamonds for a full inspection at least once every six (6) months. Failure to maintain required inspections will void stone loss coverage.

If stone loss occurs, the ring must be brought to Waco Diamonds for inspection as soon as reasonably possible after the loss is discovered.

Replacement stones will be of comparable size, shape, quality, and value, as determined solely by Waco Diamonds.

Waco Diamonds Stone Replacement can only be performed once during the ring's lifetime warranty.

What If You Do Not Live Close Enough To Visit Our Location For Services?

If you are not local, we can assist you in shipping your jewelry to us. Please note that for shipping jewelry, the customer is responsible for the shipping cost. You can purchase a shipping label through us if needed. You can schedule this here: CONTACT US.

The customer is responsible for safely packaging and insuring the jewelry until it is received by Waco Diamonds. Waco Diamonds is not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit to our facility.

What Voids The Waco Diamonds Warranty:

While Waco Diamonds offers one of the best jewelry warranties in the Central Texas area, there are a few things that can void your warranty. These include:

• Modifying your jewelry.
• Having your ring worked on by any jeweler or repair provider not expressly authorized in writing by Waco Diamonds.
• Failing to bring your jewelry in for inspections every 6 months

Any service, repair, resizing, setting modification, or alteration performed by any jeweler or repair provider not expressly authorized in writing by Waco Diamonds.

Repeated claims resulting from persistent misuse, neglect, or unaddressed damage may result in denial of future coverage.

Service Turnaround Times:

Service timelines are estimates and may vary based on repair complexity, parts availability, shipping requirements, and workload.

Discontinued Products:

If original materials, components, or setting designs are unavailable, Waco Diamonds may substitute comparable components of equal function and value.
